Dear Holy Friends, This year will definitely be one of the toughest years of my life. It seems struggles and mourning come back to back like our recent rains have. My heart is flooded. Writing through tough times is necessary, but I usually try to share more the good things. This morning I wrote about mourning and felt God wanted me to pass it on. So, this poem is for all who mourn. In His Grip, Chandra On Mourning the sun still rises then it sets, it's like nature somehow forgets, life continues on how can it be, nothing normal not that I see, everywhere I look nothing has changed, except in my heart nothing's the same, walking through the house memories, trying hard to sleep memories, then the sun rises and it sets, God in my darkness never forgets, moments of comfort in this grief, Only He can offer such relief. ~Chandra Lynn Smith, 9/20/11~ |
